The Dependable Painting Company applied 23 karat gold leaf to the statue of the Lady of Weights and Measures on the top of the Jefferson County Courthouse in Steubenville, Ohio. Originally, the statue was to be delivered to our shop for the application of the golf leaf. However, due to the difficult task of removing the statue from the building, it was decided that we would apply the gold leaf with the statue in place. Scaffolding had to be erected to gain access to the top of the statue. Additionally, it had to be enclosed to be protected from the weather elements.
